Coming up: Retail sales, jobless claims

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) – U.S. retail sales probably fell a touch in January while initial jobless claims were little changed, according to the MarketWatch forecast of economists. Both reports will be issued at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Retail sales are projected to dip 0.1% overall and be unchanged excluding the large auto sector. And claims are expected to fall slightly to 330,000 in the first week of February from a preliminary 331,000 in the prior week.
